Our History

As do most products, the Caregiver Bed was invented out of a need. Founder, Chris McCoy, of Caregiver Bed realized the gap in the marketplace when a close family member was recovering from a serious illness, and he experienced first hand the impact on a caregiver of sleeping in the “Blue chair” at the hospital. Chris said to himself, there has to be a better way.

Setting Out to Make a Difference

The Caregiver Company spent three years collaborating with healthcare professionals and aeronautical engineers to develop the Caregiver Bed. Since then the Caregiver Bed has helped over 3,602 patient family members get over 9,713 nights of quality sleep.

Our story, like so many others, begins with a simple idea. This particular one being that a well-rested caregiver can and will improve your hospital’s complete environment.
